What did he say? ...and why did I watch and listen?
One of the curses of live news coverage is the fact that you watch
things in which you really have little interest. Because it is live and is coming from the
other side of the world, you watch in the belief that what is being presented might be
important.
"Any misadventure will be met by a definitive response," the
Prime Minister of Pakistan said this morning on CNN live. He said it and then he repeated
himself. He said it of India and was apparently making some sort of statement about the
nuclear tests that began on May 11. He never said whether Pakistan was or was not going to
test its nukes (which the CIA says they have 60 to India's 100, or 95 now that they tested
five). So what?
I don't have any sympathy for the Pakistani Prime Minister or their
people. Welcome to the twentieth century, finally! Now that the Pakistani people have
drivers licenses and are cab drivers all over the world and send money home to support
their families, they can live under the same fear that we have lived since the late
1940's.
Let them start building concrete bomb shelters and have air raid
drills like we did in the 50's. Maybe the Indian Prime Minister will beat his sandal on a
table and threaten to bury the Pakistani's because they have more color televisions than
the Indians. Look at the benefits of this nuclear arms race and stop looking at the
negatives.
Sure, someone might press the wrong button and a million or so people
get vaporized. Still, think of the good an arms race will do their individual economies,
not to mention the rest of the world. I mean there are defense systems to be built,
underground silos constructed, missles to be designed, and what about all the
uniforms that need to be made? Only economic good can really come out of this.
Today's cab driver is tomorrow's general. I support Pakistan and
believe that they should test ten nuclear devices. Up the ante on India! See their five
and raise them five more! That should make China feel real secure with India and Pakistan
setting nukes off less than 1500 miles from their center of government. How does it
feel, boys?
Just when we fooled ourselves into believing that no Russian missles were aimed
our way anymore, this had to happen. It serves to remind us that the nuclear
threat has not gone away. Just when we thought we had utopia in our grasp, a booming stock
market, and no inflation, we get drawn back ito the reality of a time that could easily
cease because some moron makes a mistake. Nothing has really changed since August 6, 1945.
Nothing at all.

Children, Guns, the Media, and Murder in our Schools
How close is one of these incidents to McKean, Warren, or Chautauqua County?
As the number of these incidents seem to grow each month, we continually see and hear the
same reaction from the national and the local media. We continually see and hear them
asking why? Like the media, we as adults also ask why?
These children are said to be morally bankrupt. Who says that? The
media says so. The media has a point. If these children are morally bankrupt, then what of
the parents? I always say, You don't get mice from rats. If the children are morally
bankrupt, then the parents are also.
Does the school system share in this blame? These children are acting
out their rage at school. Shouldn't that be some sort of indicator to us? Yesterday's
incident in Oregon left one student dead and just less than a score more wounded. It began
earlier with the child first murdering his parents at home. If the anger was directed only
at the parents and the home, the incident might have ended there and then. It wasn't. It
continued and spilled over into the classroom. Why?
Our schools are no different than schools in the rest of the nation. Our
schools have the same problems. Our teachers are no better and our students are no worse.
It appears that children taking up guns and striking out at their teachers and classmates
is not isolated just by geography, ethnicity, or economics. It seems to be open to happen
anywhere in the nation. Therefore, what should we conclude?
Is the child morally bankrupt, or is it the nation? Are the parents
morally bankrupt, or does the media share in the blame as it gives us a spotlight on the
shooter(s) and does live interviews as students and teachers are laid to rest with tearful
mourners watching all across the nation? Is there too much hype that surrounds this type
of tragic incident?
Are handguns too available? In this nation that is a redundant
question. The NRA would say no. They would say that the existing laws to govern the use of
handguns are not being enforced and lay the blame on law enforcement and the courts. They
may be right. The people at Handgun Control Institute say they are too available. They say
it but don't take that next step to say they want to make it a crime to own or posses a
handgun. When they do, and they will, are they right? Where do we draw the line on our
rights as spelled out in the Bill of Rights?
What do we do when it happens here? Wake up! It already has and can
happen again at any time. Edinboro is only a stones throw away from any of our three
counties. Why not Jamestown, or Warren, or Bradford?
How can we stop it from happening? How do we protect ourselves from
that person who is boiling inside and hates home because he or she has not been given what
they think they need? How do we give them the love and attention they lack in their lives
to keep them from murdering innocent and unsuspecting classmates? How do we do that?
Unfortunately, as we address a national problem, we ignore the individual
problem. As we look at school systems, we miss the student. As we look at a
single class, we miss the single perosn who is left out. That single person, often left
out at home and then at school, seems only able to find the attention he or she needs by
bad behavior. Rebelling was always considered a right of passage. What do we make of this
new and unique behavior?

Let's Just Burn Down the Family Centers!
Figuratively, of course! Don't get me wrong, but to read into what Jim
Buck has written and Penny Eddy has said, the programs I have fought so hard to establish
countywide, are unnecessary and a waste of taxpayers hard earned dollars. If I am wrong,
and they are right, why waste my time and energy to go to Harrisburg three to four times a
year? Why should I take time away from my family and endeavors I enjoy a whole lot more
and lobby and argue to get us the money necessary to run these programs? Is it a waste of
my time?
Not all the citizens of McKean County are as lucky as Mr. Buck. He
draws a salary to write fiction at The Bradford Era and gets paid by the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to allegedly teach a class at UPB which is nothing more than
an ongoing attack on me and the MOUNTAIN LAUREL REVIEW. His wife is also a
professor, teaching English and Journalism. Financially and education wise, Jim has it
pretty good and has done well for himself. He is to be admired.
His family would never need the family center, nor would I ever expect
him to dirty himself to participate in any of the activities, unless of course there were
certain "Captains of Industry" in attendance, also. He would rather break bread
with these so called captains, than lower or dirty himself to associate with the less
fortunate of the county in which he and his wife earn their livings. He would rather stay
back at a distance and take shots at programs that genuinely help people.
Penny Eddy is no different. Her imagined control of the Community
Development Block Grant Funds puts her in the position to give out contracts to certain
communities and companies, while at the same time able to deny access to those funds to
undeserving communities and companies she does not like. Those funds, by her own words,
are not to be spent on Human Sevice Programs.
I recently attended a meeting regarding 4-H Club Programs and the Agriculture
Extension Office. Larry Stratton set it up in the his office. Don Tanner,
director of 4-H and Sam Crosley, director of the Agriculture Extension Office attended.
Jim Weaver was out of town.
Sam wanted to lease or buy a new Digital Copier that was compatible
with his computer system. The approximate cost was $24,000. It was not in the budget. It
was also pointed out that it would save time and help our farmers with the various needs
they have at the AG Office. Larry looked to me to see if we had money available. As
overseer of the budget, I said we did and along with Larry, gave Sam our support to buy or
lease this piece of equipment that would help his people and the area farmers.
We are spending tax dollars on farmers. Would Jim Buck say that
was a waste of money? Would he ask if I had a mandate to be the advocate for
farmers? I doubt that he would, yet he has accused me of doing that with children and old
people.
Would Penny Eddy object to spending $24,000 on a copier? Of course she
wouldn't. She has spent more on what she has in her offices and considers it a necessary
piece of equipment. She objected to $30,000 on a nutrition program for people much less
fortunate than she at her $50,000 plus salary.
The 4-H Program made a proposal for county summer programs. We have
one of, if not the largest 4-H Programs, in the state. Mr. Tanner made an excellent
presentation. Larry and I asked if these programs could be extended for the entire next 12
months instead of the summer if we were willing to fund them? Mr. Tanner assured us that
it could be done and in our area Family Centers, too. The cost will be about $14,000. Is
that a good expenditure? Maybe we should ask Mr. Buck and Mrs. Eddy.
Now all the children of McKean County will have the chance to be
exposed to the principles of the 4-H philosophy. What is wrong with that? Why not the poor
kids? Why not all the kids in Bradford and Kane instead of just those who live on the
farms of the eastern half of the county? Maybe, just maybe, this might be something the
kid who might otherwise vandalize your car or break into your house might really enjoy and
take to him or herself and stay out of trouble. Is this so bad? Ask Jim Buck and Penny
Eddy.
Where will the funding come from, you might ask? It will come from the
Family Center Programs funding. We will pay 4-H to give these programs. That is the
purpose of Family Services Systems Reform. Not to duplicate programs and standardize what
you are doing across your county. In that respect, McKean County is far beyond the rest of
the state.
We are a model in this state. It is the fine people who have been
villianized by Mr. Buck and Mrs. Eddy who run not only the Super Cupboard, but also the
Family Centers, that are responsible for putting us in that enviable position. Both Jim
Buck and Penny Eddy should publicly apologize, individually and collectively, to all of
these people.
In his zeal to curry favor with the so called and alleged Captains of Industry,
Jim Buck is at it again. He is attempting to create news instead of reporting it.
Bash Beck, it will sell papers! Bash Beck, the boys in the Club will love it! Bash Beck,
that will be the game even if it does damage the Family Centers and the good that they do.
Burn all four of them down, Jim. Who needs them anyway? Certainly not you or any of the
staff at The Era. Just get rid of them so we can have the highest rate of child
abuse in the state again. Do you remember that?
This should not be about me. We should be trying to help people. We
have helped the corporations with low interest loans, programs for retraining where the
government pays half the salary for employees under training, and on and on. Shouldn't
everyone have a chance to benefit? Maybe we should ask Jim Buck and Penny Eddy.
MAY 20, 1998
AM I REALLY A DEMOCRAT...OR WORSE?
Jim Weaver, McKean County Commissioner and minority Democrat, teased
me last night as we waited for the results of one of the poorest turnouts in primary
election history to end. "You've crossed over, Harold," he told me. "You're
a Democrat now. Our friend, Jimmy Connelly, even says so." I laughed of course and
asked Weaver what was wrong with that? "Nothing," he answered. I thought about
it, and agreed. Even though Party Chairman C. Russell Johnson called them all
"sons-of-bitches," there was nothing wrong with being a Democrat. Was I really
one?
Jim Buck started this in his scurrilous editorial, Killing the
golden goose, when he wrote the run-on sentence which became a single paragraph
and begins with a conjunction which said: "And we also suggest that Mr. Beck dump
that smokescreen about being a conservative Republican and admit his politics is much
further to the left-something along the lines of "Let them eat goose." (That
was from someone with a Master's Degree in writing? Oh yes, fiction writing of course!
How would you ever diagram that sentence?)
To pay taxes, or not to pay taxes; that is the question! It's got
nothing to do with geese or shrimp scampi. It's got nothing to do with me attending social
functions with ARG or any other business in McKean County. It has everything to do with
fairness. That was the purpose fo the reassessment that we conducted in 1997.
I seem to remember Mr. Buck, acting like a cheerleader at a
witch burning, attacking Larry Stratton and defending the rights of the slum landlords
association of Bradford, at one very public and loud meeting. I also remember counciling
Mr. Buck that he was out of line when he became part of the news and did remain detatched
and only report it. That single item seems to be his major flaw, both in his life as a
professional and as a human being. However, back to the question at hand. Am I a
Democrat?
Theresa Cummins is a Democrat. A more pious and wonderful woman, I am
not sure I have known. So are her sons, and they are all great guys. I like Judy Church
and her husband. She is the Chairman of the Democratic Party in McKean County, and a lot
nicer than the Kingfish. Lafayette Township, where I live, has a Democratic majority. I
like my neighbors. Kane has a Democratic majority, too. I like alot of people from Kane.
My daughter is marrying one on June 6 of this year. He might be a Democrat for all I know,
even though I never thought to ask. I think he is a fine young man. Even my dear departed
newly found friend, Mayo Funari, was a Democrat. I really liked Mayo. I guess I have a few
Democrats that I like.
Bill Clinton was a draft dodger and he is a Democrat, too. I've never
really cared for him. I am told that John Cleland and Jeff Duke were very liberal and left
as young men. I have heard that, but can't say for sure, because I have never sat
down in a bar and had a beer and a sausage sandwich with either of them and discussed
politics. Still, I would rank both in the Bill Clinton category and I don't care for him
at all.
I also don't care for Al Gore. He's alot like Duke and Cleland. There
is Ted Kennedy, too. I never cared for him. Janet Reno is a Democrat who could have
easily worked for the German SS during World War II. I don't like her and I also don't
like Hillary Clinton or her brother-in-law or anyone in her family. Then again,
there is John Satterwhite who is a Democrat and it just might surprise everyone, but I
kind of like and admire John. We vote alike on the Airport Authority and even sit next to
each other at the meetings. So there you have it, I like some Democrats and dislike
others. So what?
What makes me less of a Conservative Republican? Is it because I
embraced social programs for McKean County that are the effort and the stated policy of
the Tom Ridge Administration? Is it because I preach the heresy of expecting "big
business" like ARG to pay taxes? Could it be that I can get along with unions and
believe that workers deserve a living wage and decent benefits? Not all Republican
Conservatives are Attilla the Hun. Some of us do have a heart.
Just because I believe that we should vote on the School District Budget
and embrace Democratic Principles, that does not make me any more of a Democrat than
having elections in the former Communist Soviet Union make them Democratic. Certain things
are right and certain things are wrong. Some things I believe in and some things I do not
believe in or support. What's wrong with "protecting the old, the weak and the
helpless?" Is giving money to Senior Centers wrong and not Republican? Is having
Family Centers, teaching nutrition, cutting the rate of Sexual Abuse in the county,
cutting the rate of teen pregnancy and expecting children to be in school wrong?
If you believe Jim Buck, it is! But who believes Jim Buck? He is a
fiction writer, not a journalist as he would have us believe. He convienently leaves out a
key phrase to make his story come out the way he wants it to read. He misrepresents the
facts time and time again. No, I am not to the left of where I would have anyone believe.
I am a Conservative Republican and more so than those who allegedly lead this party
in McKean County.
Larry Stratton actually once toyed with the idea of raising County Taxes
to eliminate the deficit we inherited. I opposed the idea. I still oppose raising County
Taxes at any time and remind Mr. Stratton of our pledge of fiscal responsibility. Taxes
are high enough. Even Larry thought so and fought his own reassessment.
That is why I want to sell the land fill. I want to eliminate debt,
add a surplus to the county treasury, and get government out of a business
that should be run by private industry. Mr. Stratton opposes me in that quest. Maybe Mr.
Buck is accusing the wrong person of leftist politics.
Mr. Stratton opposes selling the land fill but wanted a low level nuclear dump
in our county. Private industry was okay in that instance but not in the case of
the land fill. Private industry is a dirty word there. Why? This business about me
inviting Chem-Nuclear to McKean County is a lot of bull crap picked up at the Stratton
Farm that wanted a special break on taxes, just like ARG.
No, Jimmy boy, I am no more a Democrat than Jim Weaver is a Republican. It
is a shame that even with your education that you are too stupid to understand that it is
the issue that is important, not the label. Personalities mean nothing in politics. It is
the track record and how well you represent all the people, not just Ray's buddies, that
really counts.
MAY 19, 1998
SHRIMP SCAMPI AND THE TRUTH
Today was my day to be a target of The Bradford Era and
reporter Jim Buck. I am targeted in a front page article "Document details meetings
with Chem-Nuclear" and an editorial on Page 4, "Killing the golden goose."
Both articles are patently untrue and filled with outright lies.
My fellow commissioner, Larry Stratton, allegedly confirms the
first article when he is quoted at the end of the Chem-Nuclear article saying: "As
near as my recollection can say, that's accurate." That is in reference to a document
produced at the commissioner's meeting yesterday that details my supposed involvement with
Chem-Nuclear.
The document alleges that on August 3, 1997 that "Beck felt good
with the project....and he was used to taking the heat and not concerned with public
reaction." August 4, 1997 says "Beck returned to booth alone. Invited
Chem-Nuclear to visit the county and give a presentation to all the commissioners. August
21, 1997 says "Burk sat down with all three commissioners at the courthouse and gave
his standard presentation. It states: "Beck advised that Chem-Nuclear hire a
New York public relations firm to help with public relations."
I did not attend Mr. Stratton's secret meeting on December 10, 1997.
The document does not say that I did and that appears to be the only truth about my
involvement in this filthy process. Mr. Burk is quoted as saying in a telephone interview
that he set up the August 21 meeting through me. That is a lie, because as Chairman, Larry
Stratton sets up all of our meetings and in fact set up that meeting with Chem-Nuclear,
especially the secret meeting on December 10, 1997.
This is a deliberate attempt to smear me by Chem-Nuclear,Bill Kilmer and Larry
Stratton. Mr. Stratton's name was taken out of the document provided by
Chem-Nuclear to Mr. Kilmer and my name substituted in its place. I have vigorously
opposed the siting of a low level nuclear dump in McKean County since I first passed the
Chem-Nuclear booth at the commissioners' convention. Only Mr. Stratton has embraced this
stupid idea. He is even quoted in The Olean Time Herald as saying
"..... it appears to be safe. I wouldn't mind having one (a dump) next to me." I
never made such a statement.
The editorial by Mr. Buck is equally untrue and a pack of lies. He
claims that I told him a heartwarming story about the Super Cupboard Program teaching a
Smethport mom to cook Shrimp Scampi. That is a lie. I never told such a story. The Super
Cupboard program is a nutrition program and shrimp is as nutritious as most other foods
like meats and chicken. Aren't poor young people supposed to eat shrimp? Should they be
relegated to a diet of gruel? While this is an amusing story, Mr. Buck misrepresented any
conversation that I might have had with him.
Mr. Buck further misrepresented a conversation with Dave Evans when he
stated: "But when I talked to Evans last week, he said he confirmed only that he'd
heard the same rumor. Evans said he heard it from Beck and the MLR. Talk about self
fulfilling prophecies!" That statement was allegedly made when Jim Buck was
attempting to get to the bottom of ARG's request for special treatment in taxing.
Dave Evans denies making that statement in that context. Mr. Evans,
himself, bracketed that statement by Mr. Buck attributed to him, gave me the article and
stated that he did not say that. Jim Buck twisted the truth. Jim Buck lied.
Jim Buck points out I have not attended meetings with ARG. That is
true. I am a member of the Board of Assessments. ARG has been trying to get the tax breaks
Ray McMahon promised them last year. I cannot allow myself to be comprimised by any out of
the public eye meeting with ARG. The owners of the refinery should be
treated no different than any other taxpayer. They deserve a fair assessment. They deserve
nothing more, nothing less.
Mr. Buck has had a long standing problem with me. In his journalism
class at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford he has singled me out, as well as The
Mountain Laurel Review, to his students. If Mr. Buck is what UPB has
to offer in the way of Journalism instructors, then we are dreadfully lacking. If
President McDowell allows this to go on in his classrooms, how can they continue to take
public funds?
What is the difference betweeen Mr. Buck singling me and the MLR out
and the Pitt Law Professors who worked for free to attack our timber industry? There is
none and Mr. Buck should be fired. He improperly used his position as a
journalism instructor to advance his own personal vendetta.
What is this about? This is a sign of what is to come as we look
forward to the 1999 Primary Election. This is an attempt to discourage me from entering
the race to be re-elected. This is an attempt by certain powerful factions which the staff
of The Era romances regularly to put government back into the secret dealings of
the past. The people of this county deserve better and they will have it. Accusing me of
being farther to the left than I let on is a febble attempt just like Mr. Buck's ability
as a writer.
DON'T BITCH IF YOU.....
do not vote! Today is Primary Election Day in Pennsylvania. Have
you voted in your party's Primary?
Today is the second step in the process that puts the people in office
that represent us in all levels of government. This is where you can have your say
and make it count. This is where, had you been on top of the situation, that you could
have removed someone from office that you feel is not serving you well.
McKean County is unique to the nation, but not to this part of
Pennsylvania. Rural Pennsylvania is solidly Republican. Republican candidates win
the majority of the time. Many Republican candidates generally run unopposed in the
November General Election. If you are not running as a Republican, you do not stand
a very good chance of being elected. For that reason many former Democrats have changed
and crossed over to the Republican Party. Some examples of these people locally are McKean
County Republican Party Chairman C. Russell (Kingfish) Johnson and Senator William
Slocum.
The 1995 Primary Election in McKean County had me defeating incumbant
Harrijane Hannon by two votes for the second seat on the Republican ticket for County
Commissioner. It was a hot primary and the county was definitely polarized in two distinct
camps. Hannon was going to get the undecided votes by the shear fact that I was an unknown
and appeared to be a radical. Of course I was! I was preaching open government and
representation for all of the people, not just her friends and supporters at the local
club in Bradford.
I won by two votes. I won it fair and I won it square. I was accused
of winning it using illegal votes in one district of Keating Township. I had to run a
second time in a special election in late August. It was in that election that I won a
second and decisive victory over Mrs. Hannon and the Republican Party. Primary
Elections are important and your vote does count.
Take the extra time today and vote. It is important that you vote in
every election just so you don't get out of practice. Do your duty and exercise your
right. Many people have died just so we all can have the opportunity to do just that.
MAY 18, 1998
FIVE YEARS WITH KATHY WILSON
While I was aware of Kathy Wilson, primarily through the finding of
her remains and the subsequent trial of Jay William Buckley, I never imagined what this
case would ultimately do to my life. I never imagined that in an innocent attempt to take
an objective look at a case that for all practical purposes was closed, I would make
myself more of a target than the actual murderer(s) of the woman who disappeared in 1988.
How did that happen?
Jay William Buckley was a designated fall guy from the beginning.
Kathy Wilson did not return from lunch on the rainy afternoon of May 18, 1988. Her husband
called work toward the end of the day and made comments to her fellow workers that an old
boy friend must be in town. Later he would even asked if they knew where her boyfriend
lived? The husband would later lie to police and claim that there was no problem at home
even though they had abstained from any kind of sexual contact for six months until the
Saturday night before her disappearance. Why wasn't the husband considered a major
suspect?
Kathy Wilson's purse arrives home just after 6 PM. Police are
called and she is immediately treated as a missing person instead of a wife who might have
just had enough. Why?
Her boss in his statement that evening constantly refers to her in the
past tense. "She was like my right arm." The assumption is made in his
statement, or the impression can be taken from his signed statement to police that he does
not expect her to return. What's more, he had personal knowledge of Kathy Wilson's sex
life to the extent that he told police that she and Mark Wilson had not had sex for six
months. Why wasn't he ever considered a suspect?
Inspite of these compelling facts in the very first hours of the case,
Jay William Buckley becomes a prime suspect in this case (even though no evidence existed
that a crime had even been committed) at 8:45 PM on the evening of May 18, 1988. That was
based on an incident that took place eight years before in which Buckley attempted to
steal a van from a parking lot and the owner, a woman, jumped in and tried to stop him. He
drove off with her, was chased by police, drops her off, still chased by police runs a
stop sign and kills a man who is driving through the intersection.
Buckley remained the prime suspect for eighteen months until her
skeletal remains were found in Pennsylvania only miles from the NY State Line. Enter
Michael Brown, a former accomplice of Buckley's in several burglaries. Brown, in an
attempt to collect a $28,000 reward and avoid prosecution for the burglaries, with
the aid of authorities, concocts a story that says that Buckley kidnapped, raped,
and murdered the mother of three.
Two years later Buckley is acquitted following a six week trial and is
sent back to jail in New York to stand trial for burglary. Brown admitted that with
the aid of the District Attorney and the State Police investigator, he lied 767
times under oath. He withdrew his story and his own guilty plea and was set free by the
Court and the Warren County District Attorney.
Buckley's attorney, Barry Lee Smith, frustrated with the inaction of
the District Attorney, filed an eight count private criminal complaint against Brown and
names the Warren County District Attorney and a Pennsylvania State Police Investigator as
parties to the case. For five years the complaint has made its way through the courts all
the way to the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court.
Earlier this year, the Superior Court was affirmed and the
Pennsylvania Attorney General was ordered to try the case, something that was actively and
vigorously fought from the beginning by the District Attorney who tried Buckley and later
by Ernie Preate, once Attorney General and who is now admitted felon. Then it was
fought by political appeaser Tom Corbett who took over as Attorney General when Preate
went to prison. Finally, political hack and Pennsylvania Governor hopeful, Mike (Elmer
Fudd) Fisher, in his capacity as Attorney General, continued to waste taxpayers dollars as
he held the line to protect the District Attorney in Warren County.
Ripe For the Picking is my copywrited story about the Kathy Wilson
Murder. It will be available for sale later this summer. It offers a slant on the many
facets of the case that all were convienently overlooked by the police and District
Attorneys in two states. It lays blame on authorities and it identifies potential
suspects, including one who confessed even as her remains were being recovered. His
accounts and what was found are startlingly similar.
I have been the target of investigations and now a political
prosecution because of this case and what I have written in the series in this magazine.
Two other of my associates have likewise been targeted and are now embroiled with similar
prosecutions. Why?
It is because we had the courage to say that law enforcement was wrong in this
case. Not only were they wrong, the actually broke the law and obstructed justice as they
tried an innocent man for murder.
I have spent five years with Kathy Wilson. I have read and re-read
each and every file on this case. I have interviewed countless numbers of people and have
lived the case beyond any possible measure. Now that Michael Brown has been finally
arrested and allegedly scheduled to be made to answer for his part, it will be interesting
to see just how responsible the DA and the investigator will be in the new case. Knowing
Mr. Fisher and his record for doing the politically proper thing so he can ultimately be
Governor, it is unlikely that they will be held with Brown. Why would I believe that he
would start doing the right thing now?
