The Pen & Quill Society

Consider this your invitation to join

Open to students of Rasmussen College, students of other college campuses,

and to any aspiring writer who seeks a platform from which to publish.

The Pen & Quill Society was formed to serve as a Literary Club for the Ocala Campus of Rasmussen College, Ocala, FL. The intention of the organization is to give students a safe and comfortable environment in which to develop their creative voices through editorial writing, story telling, prose, poetry, and various performance arts.

The Pen & Quill Society utilizes the Mountain Laurel Review on-line magazine as the platform to display the works of its members along side of the published works of other writers of various experience and backgrounds. It provides an open forum for our aspiring writers and artists to communicate with one another, collaborate on works in progress so that they may offer one another advice as well as inspiration, and ultimately publish and display their work.

The Pen & Quill Society is open to all students from any of the Rasmussen campuses who maintain a 2.0 grade-point average or better. It is also open to students from other college campuses, as well as any aspiring writer who seeks a platform from which to publish.

It is moderated by Harold Thomas Beck of the General Education Department of Rasmussen College, Ocala, FL and assistance as well as encouragement is open to our members and freely provided by the experienced writers of the staff of the Mountain Laurel Review. Terms of Membership.

The Pen & Quill Society utilizes the Mountain Laurel Review website and freely acknowledge its proprietary rights.

All inquiries regarding postings on this site should be directed to publisher@mlrmag.com.

There is no cost to belong or have articles posted on the site.

Any article posted that uses someone else's work or refers to work done by someone else must cite all sources. We do not tolerate plagiarism of any kind.

The Mountain Laurel Review and the member recognize the purpose of the Pen & Quill Society is to foster creative and critical thought provoking pieces worthy of publication.

The Mountain Laurel Review reserves the right to take down or refuse to post material for any reason without notice to the author, but particularly if it considers the material to be questionable or in poor taste. Obscene material, language or dialogue that is offensive and insulting, will not be tolerated. Continued violations of this policy can result in the member being refused access to the site and dismissal from the society.

The member acknowledges that they must, within seven (7) days of joining, provide the society through the management of this site with a photograph for the purpose of being posted on the MEMBERS page.

All members are required to provide the society through the management of this site with an accurate and operational email address for the purpose of being contacted by the society or readers who wish to comment on their work.

The member agrees to these terms freely.
